Under The Influence

Now in its 3rd reissue, Under the Influence is a pool skating documentary by Toby Burger (Chlorine/Badlands Adventure). The film documents this crew's daily activities of finding, cleaning, fixing, skating, getting busted, and then watching their back yarders get demo'd. The film uses many different types of cinematography and unique camera angles to capture all the action. A great feature about the editing is that they captured full runs and not just single hits. You'll see all of the drop-ins, set-ups and complete lines from start to finish. The audio tracks are subdued and do not overrun the sounds of the session. There's lots of Salba and some pretty heavy skating by Omar; plus too many more rippers to mention. Also, there's a pretty good bonus selection with good raw footage from the Neil Heddings benefit. If you enjoyed Chlorine then Under the Influence is another good selection to add to your DVD collection.
